Objective
To upgrade an already operational sand grinding and micronization plant, increasing productivity and improving process stability, with a more controlled and repeatable particle size distribution.
Implementation
Zetacer developed the line expansion by installing a continuous ball mill dedicated to micronization, integrated with a classification section using an air separator. The intervention was designed to work in continuity with the existing system, optimizing material transfer points and recirculation management to achieve a more constant particle size curve, reduce losses, and maintain overall plant efficiency under various operating conditions.
