Special Glass Furnace – Germany
Country: Germany
Sector: Thermal processing of special automotive glass (batch furnace)
Material origin: Incoming glass/semi-finished products (preparation and loading area)
Storage: Loading buffer on frames/roller conveyors and dedicated waiting area
Downstream management: Controlled thermal cycle and product discharge to quality control/subsequent phases
Destination: Special automotive glass ready for inspection and process completion
Focus: Cycle repeatability, thermal uniformity, and finished product quality
Objective
To build a reliable batch furnace for processing special automotive glass, ensuring process stability and repeatability between batches. The objective is to reduce variability and waste related to thermal treatment, while maintaining precise control over timing and operating conditions.
Implementation
Zetacer designed and built a batch furnace configured to manage repeatable and controlled cycles, with attention to the organization of loading and unloading phases and internal flow management. The plant was designed to integrate with the facility’s logistics and to support subsequent phases (quality control and completion), maintaining operational continuity and consistent quality of the treated product.
